
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk has announced national day of mourning on Sunday [July 15] for victims of the deadly Mastung blast that claimed at least 130 lives.
A suicide bomber killed more than 128 people at an election rally in Mastung on July 14 in the second election-related attack on Friday.
Earlier in the day, the provincial government of Balochistan also announced two-day mourning across the province over suicide blast in Mastung that also killed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Siraj Raisani.
During the period of mourning, the national flag will fly at half-mast at the government buildings while all the offices and schools will be closed today.
The markets and transportations will also remain closed during the mourning days.
The bombing was the most deadly attack in Pakistan in over three years and is the third incident of election-related violence this week.
Raisani is the second electoral candidate to be killed in pre-election violence this week.
