ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) chief Imran Khan on Monday unveiled the party’s election manifesto, saying if it is voted to power it would create massive job opportunities, build low-cost houses for poor, and tackle corruption and the water crisis.
Highlighting the salient features of the manifesto, he said if voted to power, his party’s first challenge will be tackling unemployment and creating jobs.
He said the party will construct 5 million houses for poor people and provide 10 million jobs over five years’ term.
Mr. Khan said small industries act as the backbone of the country. “We will facilitate young entrepreneurs by reducing startup cost,” he added.
He said he will strengthen the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions to battle corruption as 10 billion dollars are laundered and sent abroad every year.
If the institutions will be strong they would automatically eliminate corruption, he opined.
“We are going to reform NAB, SECP, FBR and other state institutions.” “I believe this nation will give taxes once we assure them their tax will be spent on them. People think their money is spent on politicians’ lavish lifestyle; therefore they don’t pay taxes.”
