
Australia’s aggressive all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell caught in a controversy when a video went viral on social media after the tri-series final where he left Sarfraz Ahmed’s hand hanging and did not have a handshake
The video created a lot of stir and people questioned Maxwell’s sportsman spirit upon not shaking hands with the winning captain of the contest.

However, Glenn Maxwell took notice of the event and clarified it the next day saying that he does not play the game this way.
“In regards to the incident shown post match, it appears unsportsmanlike and certainly not the way I play the game,” he posted a written statement on his Twitter account.
“It was a genuine oversight on my behalf and I am currently looking for Sarfraz Ahmed in the hotel to shake his hand and congratulate him and his team for their series win,” he added.
Moreover, he congratulated Pakistan for the win at the beginning of his statement and coined Fakhar Zaman and Shoaib Malik as ‘unstoppable’.
“Congratulations to Pakistan on their win yesterday, Fakhar Zaman and Shoaib Malik were unstoppable! Sad note to end our tour of Zimbabwe, but still plenty of positives to take out of it,” he stated.

Pakistan chased down 184 runs with six wickets in hand in the final of the tri-series courtesy of Fakhar Zaman’s blistering inning of 91 runs followed by Shoaib Malik’s 43 runs.
